This is somewhat of a problem of coders in general; they want to code and anything that distracts from that is seen as an annoyance. It depends what the 'developer' is doing. If they're kernel hacking or putting in esoteric security fixes, all power to em- the process just needs to be improved so that they're paired with a newbie coder who can commit changes after confirming they compile clean. That's my take on it, anywayz. I wholeheartedly agree with you about the presentation of the OS;
